Helping our Communities

Part of The Bureau of Apocalypse Wars’ mandate is to support local charities in the communities where we operate. We electe to give all proceeds from our activities to a handful of small to mid-sized charities that do not necessarily have access to large amounts of funding. Each year we choose a feature charity on which to focus our efforts for the War and smaller charities throughout the year that benefit from other events.

2013 Feature Charities
Brown Bagging For Calgary’s Kids
The money that Apocalypse Wars was able to raise through the generous donations of our participants in 2012 greatly inspired the continued partnership with BB4CK in 2013. We hope to feed many more Calgary children this year!

H.O.P.E (Homeless. Outreach. Prevention. Engagement)
HOPE is a small charity with a big heart. Started in the last five years, HOPE works to prevent homelessness in Calgary through education and outreach programs. Through Apocalypse Wars, we hope to make enough of an impact to even get one family off the streets in 2013.

2012 Feature Charities
Brown Bagging For Calgary’s Kids
Apocalypse Wars raised nearly $2,000 for BB4CK which allowed them to feed 1,843 children in Calgary

Jesse Kinley Memorial Fund
Apocalypse Wars raised nearly $2,000 for the Jesse Kinley Memorial Fund which allowed them to give dozens of underprivilaged children access to organized sport.

Inn From the Cold, Mustard Seed & Goodwill
Apocalypse Wars held an event in December where guests helped us donate a van-load of gently used and new items, non-perishable food and $300 cash to families in time for the holidays.
